Stillman Magee Closed Due to Safety Concerns
Stillman Magee Regional Park in Clements is now closed due to safety concerns as water levels on the Mokelumne River are expected to increase from 1300 to 1700 cubic feet per second (CFS). Additionally, East Bay Municipal Utilities District (EBMUD) has closed river access at the Mokelumne River Day Use Area.

Parks Office closed Jan. 1
The Parks Administration Office will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1 in recognition of New Year's Day. Micke Grove and Shumway Oak Grove regional parks will be open from 8 a.m. to dusk, parking will be $6 per vehicle. The Parks Administration Office will resume normal operating hours on Fri., Jan. 2. County Parks closed Christmas Day, Office closed Dec. 26
San Joaquin County Parks, including Micke Grove and Shumway Oak Grove regional parks, will be closed Thursday, Dec. 25 as we celebrate Christmas Day. All parks will reopen Friday, Dec. 26 except the Parks Administration Office, which will remain closed. Office operations will resume Monday, Dec. 29. On behalf of all of us at Parks, we wish you a Merry Christmas!

Micke Grove Mini Golf Naming Contest Winners Announced
Two students from Lodi and Stockton have been announced as the winners of the Micke Grove Mini Golf Naming Contest! Natalia Ruiz Duran, a student at Leroy Nichols Elementary in Lodi, and Grace Gianelli from Venture Academy in Stockton, were chosen for their complementary entries, which together form the name of the new attraction: FunTown Safari Miniature Golf!

Support Sherman's Shoe Drive!
We Want Your Shoes! Sherman the Tortoise at Micke Grove Zoo is hosting a shoe drive, collecting new and slightly used shoes from kids sizes up to men’s size 13! In addition, Sherman is also looking for the following new, unopened and unused items: socks, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss, feminine hygiene products, soap, shampoo and conditioner.

New Fee Schedule
The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors recently approved changes to the fee schedule for county parks as part of the fiscal 2025-2026 budget. Beginning today, prices increase for camping at Dos Reis Regional Park and soccer field reservations at Regional Sports Complex. Most fees, including parking and picnic shelter rentals, remain the same.
