COME FISH 2000 LBS. AT BOB MCMILLEN TOURNEY

Come fish 2,000 lbs. of Rainbow Trout for prizes during the annual Bob McMillen Memorial Fishing Tournament on Sat., March 2 at Oak Grove Regional Park. MICKE GROVE EASTER EGG HUNT SET FOR MARCH 23

Over 25,000 candy and toy-filled eggs will be ready for the annual Micke Grove Easter Egg Hunt on Sat., March 23 from 10 AM to 1 PM. The event will also feature kids crafts and games, face painting, bounce houses, food trucks and of course, the Easter Bunny. Gates open 9:30 AM, hunt begins at 11:00 AM (please bring Easter baskets). Pre-registration only, limited capacity. Event registration to open Mon., March 4 - link available on sjparks.com, Facebook and Instagram. Please note: Park will be closed to the general public from 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon. NATURE CENTER OPEN SATURDAYS THRU MARCH

Oak Grove Regional Park's Nature Center will be open every Saturday through March 30 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Docents will be available to conduct tours of center exhibits, the Native American Village and the Native Plant Garden. Admission is free, parking $6 cash. For more information, or to book a school tour, call the Nature Center at (209) 953-8814.

JAPANESE GARDEN, STANISLAUS SHELTER CLOSED

No, it's not deja vu. Recent storms caused minor damage in the Japanese Garden, causing a temporary closure. The garden should reopen soon, please check prior to visiting. Additionally, the Stanislaus Shelter will continue to remain offline until June 1.  

MICKE GROVE TO BE CLOSED DURING EGG HUNT

Micke Grove Regional Park will be closed to the general public on Sat., March 23 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon during The Micke Grove Easter Egg Hunt. Only event registrants will be allowed in during that time. The park will open to all guests and resume normal operations beginning at 12 p.m. and close at sunset.
