Native Plant Trail Nature Walk
Join Nature Center docents for "Native Plant Trail Nature Walk" on June 21, July 19 and August 16 beginning at 11 a.m. at Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park. This easy, 45 minute to 1 hour walk will focus on what’s growing, blooming or going dormant each month. Learn how California native plants can benefit our ecosystems, insect populations and even agricultural productivity. Find out if these plants can flourish at home, plus become a part of the “Homegrown National Park” movement. The walk will finish with a tour of the new Atrium Demonstration Garden (as time permits). Meet at the Native Plant Trail next to the Nature Center, families welcome, please no pets. Free event, $6 cash parking.
