Poe-tree and Music On The Trail
Start off the year on a positive note! Join us for Poe-tree and Music On The Trail on Thursday, Jan. 1 at 1 p.m. at the Nature Center at Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park. Participants are encouraged to bring poems to read (nature, trees, etc.) and/or an easily-carried musical instrument to share an inspirational piece of music. (Our docent will have some poems ready to share amongst the group.) We’ll stop and read our poems as we walk, practice “Found Object Poetry” and enjoy our ensemble of woodland sounds, the human voice and music to connect with nature and set a path for the new year. Bohemian garb encouraged but not required! Families welcome, severe weather cancels. Parking $6 cash.
