Grab your gloves and come join our 3rd Saturday Garden Work Party on Saturday, June 20, July 18 and August 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Nature Center at Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park. Help keep the trail weeded and trimmed, plus prepare the Pollinator Garden for fall planting. Join Nature Center docents for "Native Plant Trail Nature Walk" on June 21, July 19 and August 16 beginning at 11 a.m. at Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park. This easy, 45 minute to 1 hour walk will focus on what’s growing, blooming or going dormant each month. Meet at the Native Plant Trail next to the Nature Center, families welcome, please no pets. Free event, $6 cash parking.

Explore M13 (Star Cluster in Hercules) and M57 (Ring Nebula), along with Venus and the Moon at the next Astronomy in the Park on Saturday, Aug. 22 at Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park. Stargazing courtesy of giant telescopes provided by the Stockton Astronomical Society begins at 7:45 p.m., bring a flashlight and something to sit on (blanket, lawn chairs). Free event, $6 cash parking fee.
