REGISTRATION OPENS APRIL 27, call (209) 953-8800 to register! Wild adventures await with Zoo Summer Camp at Micke Grove Zoo! Register children ages 7 - 11 for these engaging, hands-on experiences that combine education, creativity and outdoor exploration. Camps will run Monday through Friday beginning June 1 - June 5 and concluding July 20 - July 24. Cost is $100 per participant, with an additional $90 fee for each sibling.

The Stockton Astronomical Society starts their sky-viewing with big telescopes at 8:15 pm. Free event, $10 cash parking fee (Memorial Day weekend).

Come fish 2,000 lbs. of Catfish for prizes during our annual Catfish Derby on Saturday, June 6 at Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park. Gates open 6:15 a.m., last weigh-in at 12:30 p.m. Kids fish FREE, $5 cash for anglers age 16 and older (valid CA fishing license required). $6 cash parking fee.

Grab your gloves and come join our 3rd Saturday Garden Work Party on Saturday, June 20, July 18 and August 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Nature Center at Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park. Help keep the trail weeded and trimmed, plus prepare the Pollinator Garden for fall planting. Join Nature Center docents for "Native Plant Trail Nature Walk" on June 21, July 19 and August 16 beginning at 11 a.m. at Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park. This easy, 45 minute to 1 hour walk will focus on what’s growing, blooming or going dormant each month. Meet at the Native Plant Trail next to the Nature Center, families welcome, please no pets. Free event, $6 cash parking.
